After this week’s turmoil over the main villain role, a third new role has been cast in Star Trek 2 and it’s Robocop himself! Variety has confirmed that Peter Weller will show up in the sequel, but they’re unsure of the exact role. One of the rumored parts for the three major new characters added is an older mentor to the main villain, so it’s possible that’s who he’ll be playing.
Peter Weller is no stranger to Star Trek. Those who watched the excellent fourth and final season of Enterprise will remember that he played the head of Terra Prime in the two parter that is considered to be the true series finale, and one of the better episodes of Trek to air.
